Quality

The study program of Integrated Academic Studies of Medicine is designed to provide students with a complete and comprehensive education as well as the latest scientific and professional knowledge and skills in the field of medicine, which are necessary for quality and independent professional work. The modernity of this study program is ensured by cooperation based on concluded agreements with Universities from the European Union (Agreement of Cooperation) from Udine, Szeged and Timisoara, as well as cooperation agreements with the State Medical Academy from Smolensk (Russia), i.e. multiple study stays of the delegations of the Faculty at the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) and the University of Dubai.

Integrated academic studies for obtaining the academic professional title of doctor of medicine are second-degree studies and last six years or 6270-6330 classes. They are harmonized with the Directives 2005/36/EC and 2013/55/EU of the European Parliament and the Council on the recognition of professional qualifications of September 7th, 2005, and November 20th, 2013, respectively, in the part related to doctors of medicine.

The study program of the Integrated academic studies of medicine is complete and comprehensive, and at the same time adequately harmonized with the relevant accredited study programs of renowned European higher education institutions:
1. Faculty of Medicine Maribor
2. The Faculty of Medicine University of Rijeka
3. First Faculty of Medicine Prague

The study program is formally and structurally harmonized with the established accreditation standards for study programs belonging to the field of medical sciences and with European standards in terms of: enrollment conditions, type and duration of studies, conditions for transfer to the next year (minimum number of ECTS collected), degree acquisition and methods studies, the ECTS credit transfer system, the encouragement of European cooperation and mobility, as well as the degree of program comparability.
