Aims & Scope

Serbian Journal of Experimental and Clinical Research (Ser J Exp Clin Res) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal which publishes original research articles, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor in all areas of the biomedical sciences that have not been published previously. Ser J Exp Clin Res was founded in 2000 under the name Medicus and over more than two decades has grown into one of the leading national journals in the field of biomedical sciences. Ser J Exp Clin Res is owned and published by Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Kragujevac. The journal adheres to the policies of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and publishing ethics guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

SJECR publishes papers from all fields of biomedical science and practice in form of original papers, short communications, reviews/meta-analyses, case reports,medical history articles, personal views, letters to the editor, reports from scientific meetings that have not been published previously. SJECR is an Open Access Journal and it is published four times a year.

The first issue of SJECR was published in March 2000.

SJECR is owned and published by Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Kragujevac. However, Editors have full academic freedom and authority for determining the editorial content of the journal, according to their scientific, professional and ethical judgment.

Editorial policy and decision making follow procedures which are endeavoring to ensure scientific credibility of published content, confidentiality and integrity of authors, reviewers, and review process, protection of patients` rights to privacy and disclosing of conflict of interests.

All articles published in Serbian Journal of Experimental and Clinical Research are open-access articles, published and distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which permits reproduction, distribution, derives and commercial use, provided the original work is properly cited and authors and publisher are properly identified. Archiving
Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
